Lullaby

A little lullaby in Dutch, made for Ashley who refused to go to sleep, and as such, I punished her with the following rhymes, perhaps I will add a translation later on, though I am quite sure the power will be lost.

For Ashley:

Jongedame, Tel de schapen
tel de schapen met hun witte vacht
tel de schapen, die gaan slapen
op het groene gras oh zo zacht

Tel de wolken die wuiven
stil voorbij in de nacht
Tel de wolken in hun witte pracht
en voor je het weet zie je je Prins die naar je lacht.

and a second one, which I made a bit earlier but of which I am not as proud as the one above, again in Dutch:

Er is altijd wel een droom die op je wacht
Tel je vingers, tel je tenen
en daarna je benen
Tel je ogen, tel je neus
en voordat je t weet, ben je een reus

They both are nursery rhymes, with the second one being more of a teasing and the first a true lullaby, written for a young lady(albeit not so young in this case) too lull her into a pleasant dream about her Prince.
